Lacayo named Executive Editor at NY1 Noticias

Roberto LacayoRoberto Lacayo has been hired at NY1 Noticias as its new Executive Editor.  He starts the new job on March 3.

He replaces Maritza Puello, who left the position in May of last year to take a job at Fusion.

Roberto joins the local cable network from Univision Channel 41 where he has been a reporter for the past two years.  He was previously a reporter/anchor at Telemundo’s KVEA-52 in Los Angeles.

His past experience also includes stints at Telemundo Dallas, Univision Miami and KDWN radio in Las Vegas. He started his broadcast news career in Miami with MetroSource,  a radio news wire service.
