The FCC won’t be able to vote on loosening restrictions on newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership on Dec. 18. The Senate Commerce Committee yesterday unanimously passed a bill blocking the vote for that date, seeking to postpone it until 2008.
The bill now moves to the full Senate.
