The power of Univision is being noticed by the big networks, embroiled in a now six week long writer’s strike. While the Big Five have been forced to air re-runs, the Spanish-language network is unaffected by the writer’s strike and is enjoying a ratings heaven, with plenty of new prime-time programming shipped from Mexico. Media Life is reporting that last week, Univision zoomed past all the other networks in the ratings, making it the “strike’s big winner.”
