García moves to L.A.

Reporter Rita García makes an 85 market jump to Los Angeles. She leaves her full-time job at KRGV-5 in Harlingen, Texas to become a freelancer at the KCBS/KCAL duopoly.

Rita worked at the ABC affiliate in the Rio Grande Valley for three years. Before that, she worked at NPR in Washington, D.C.

She is the second reporter to leave her station this month. Colleague Alex Treviño also left KRGV-5 for a job in D.C.
