L.A. Emmy winners

The L.A. Emmys were also given out this past weekend and both the local Univision and Telemundo stations each picked up a a couple of statuettes.

At KMEX-34, Cecilia Bográn and Art Quezada won in the light news story – multi-report category, while Horacio Cervantes got an Emmy nod for Best Director.

Gustavo Gutierrez, of KVEA-52 won as outstanding news videographer. Gabriel Huerta, Juan Manuel Martinez and again Gustavo picked up an Emmy for light news story – single report.

Val Zavala won in the feature segment category. KCET colleague Marcos Villatoro won as outstanding non-news writer.

KTTV-11 news anchor Carlos Amezcua got several nods – a shared Emmy for L.A. Local color story and another for sports special.
