Perez wins daytime Emmy

For a second year in a row, Cristina Perez has won the Emmy for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program. She picked up the statuette on Sunday night.

The category was created last year and it is believed that it was intended for Judge Judy, but it was “Cristina’s Court” that nabbed the big prize, after only a year on the air. The bad news is her syndicated show was canceled earlier this year.

Cristina started her TV judge career, headlining “La Corte de la Familia” on Telemundo.
