Telemundo’s morning show expands, adds new host

October 6, 2009 by Veronica Villafañe

“Levántate,” Telemundo network’s morning show, which celebrated its one year anniversary at the end of August, will be adding another hour to its daily programming. Starting next Monday, the show will air from 7 to 10 am ET/PT.

Reporter Idaly Ferrá (at right in photo) will be leaving her gig in Mexico to join Rashel Díaz and Alan Tacher as the third host on the revamped show, which according to Telemundo, will include more correspondents and audience participation.

Telemundo and Univision sound too "localist" to me. One in PR pretending that the inland is the center of the news. The other makes Miami and its Florida University faculty the only source of "erudited saying" when somebody needs a character to be interviewed. Could it be that is the reason I prefer to main networks in English for getting my news?
