Guzmán sues News Corp

Former New York Post editor Sandra Guzmán is suing the paper and its parent company, News Corp. In the lawsuit, Sandra claims she was fired in retaliation for complaints about alleged pervasive racism and sexism at the newspaper.

Reuters reports the lawsuit, filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court, details several alleged instances of racist or sexist conduct at the paper. Citing one example, a senior executive allegedly referred to Sandra as “Cha Cha #1.”

Sandra worked for the NY Post for 6 years. She was terminated on Sept.29. She seeks compensatory and punitive damages, “including for emotional distress and harm to her career.”
