The first congressional hearing on the proposed $30 billion merger between Comcast and NBC Universal is set for Feb. 4. It will be held before the Senate Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Subcommittee chaired by Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wisc.).

Mediaweek reports the hearing is expected to examine how the deal will impact broadcast TV, cable services, internet delivery of programming and consumer choice. Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts and Jeff Zucker, president and CEO of NBC Universal, are among those scheduled to testify.
