“Ugly Betty,” the sitcom based on the Colombian telenovela “Betty La Fea” has been canceled. In its 4th season, the show has lost half the audience it had when it premiered in 2006. It now has slighlty more than 5 million viewers. ABC fiddled with its time slot this season, taking it from a comfortable Thursday time period to a doomsday Friday, before moving it to Wednesdays at 10 pm.
The show, developed by executive producer Silvio Horta and written by Fernando Gaitán, stars América Ferrera.
