Aldama returns to Miami

Cesar Aldama has been named news director at WFOR-4 (CBS) in Miami, where he previously worked as managing editor. He will also oversee news at WBFS-33. The station’s president made the announcement late yesterday. He replaces Adrienne Roark, who was transferred to the CBS O&O in Dallas.

Cesar was most recently assistant news director at the CBS O&O in Philadelphia – a job he held since April 2003. Before that, he was managing editor at CBS-4 and previously at NBC-11 in Baltimore. He started his career as a cameraman and video editor at WSVN-7, where he worked for 10 years.

Cesar was born in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. His family lives in Miami, so he’ll be going back home.
