Bustos goes bust

Bustos Media, Inc. has come to an end. The company has filed to transfer its radio and TV licenses to NAP Broadcast Holding.

Radio Ink reports CEO Amador Bustos and VP of Operations John Bustos have resigned as part of the merger agreement. Jay Meyers, currently Broadcast Management & Technology President, will be interim CEO until the FCC approves the transfers. He was serving as adviser to Bustos Media as it tried to resolve its financial troubles.

There are no planned format or staff changes.

Amador Bustos is the founder of Z-Spanish Radio Network, which merged with Entravision in 2000.
