L.A. Emmy results

Despite having several nominations, Univision’s KMEX-34 only picked up 2 Emmys on Saturday. One went to the station’s art director, José Luis Medina, for Graphics and the other to Eduardo Kachscovsky, for Outstanding Non-News Director.

No Emmys for Telemundo’s KVEA or KWHY.

Robert Pastoriza, from CBS2/KCAL9 won in the Outstanding News Videographer category.

CBS2 Reporter Dave Lopez won for Serious News Story – Multi Report.

Anchor Val Zavala was part of two KCET team Emmy wins – for Crime/Social Issues and Information Segment.

Rick Garcia picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Sports Reporting for KTTV-11. He is now an anchor at KCAL9.

NBC4’s Ana Garcia won in the Outstanding Hard News Reporting.

KTTV anchor Carlos Amezcua got 2 Emmy nods – for Education and Medical News Story Multi-Report.
