WSFL cancels morning show

Poor ratings made Tribune-owned, CW affiliated station WSFL-39 pull the plug on “The morning show,” produced by the Sun-Sentinel. The last show aired this morning. On its website, a message read:

“We had high hopes for the program, and significant effort went into developing the show. While we’re proud of what we accomplished in a short period of time, the audience didn’t build the way we had anticipated, and we had to make the difficult decision to end production.”

The show, which launched on April 13 of 2009 and first aired under the name of SouthFlorida.com/Live, featured reporters Eugene Ramírez and Ihosvani Rodríguez.
