NAB attendance up by 4,000

The National Association of Broadcasters 2011 convention saw an increase of 4,000 people attending the annual show. As of today, the total number of registered attendees is 92,708, compared. In 2010, NAB final attendance was 88,044. Of this year’s attendees, about 25% are from other countries.

This year marks the official break-up of the RTDNA conference from NAB, which had been holding its conference in Las Vegas with the electronics and media show since 2002. Despite its departure from the NAB event, RTDNA yesterday held one day of workshops.

RTDNA will be holding this year’s conference in September 25-27 in New Orleans, in conjunction with the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).
