AOL today announced that Patch, its network of hyperlocal news and information sites that focuses on community-specific coverage, will launch “Patch Latino” in communities with large Latino populations.
The first Patch Latino sites will kick off in Southern California by the end of 2011. All content will be in Spanish.
AOL also named 2 multicultural executives – one to oversee African-American Initiatives, and the other as General Manager, Multicultural. No Latino was appointed – at least not yet – to head the Patch Latino initiative.
