García named KNSD primary anchor

Catherine Garcia will be KNSD’s primary evening anchor starting December 5.  She’ll be anchoring the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts.  She replaces Susan Taylor, whose last day is Dec. 2.

Catherine joined the NBC O&O in San Diego as weekend co-anchor in 2003.  She’s currently anchoring weekdays at 12 noon, 4 and 4:30 p.m.

Prior to moving to San Diego, she was a morning and weekend evening anchor at WFAA-8, the ABC affiliate in Dallas. She previously worked as an anchor at KTBC-TV in Austin and at KTSM-TV in El Paso.
