Univision local stations pick up 51 Emmys

Univision Television stations around the country have collectively won 51 local Emmys in 2011.

Most recent wins were in Texas: KUVN-23 Dallas, KWEX-41 San Antonio, and KXLN-45 Houston – won 12 awards in total. Chicago’s WGBO-66 won 4 awards.

In June, KUVS-19 Sacramento picked up 16 awards; KFTV-21 Fresno won 3 Emmys; KDTV Univision 14 San Francisco took an Emmy for the Evening Newscast Large Markets: Spanish category.

Earlier this year, KTVW33 Phoenix picked up Emmys in 9 categories.

WXTV 41 New York got 4 Emmys.

WUVP65 Philadelphia won an Emmy for Promotion: News and Program and PSA – Single Spot.

KMEX 34 Los Angeles received an Emmy in the Outstanding News Videographer category.
