AmericaTeve announces MundoFox distribution details

July 27, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

América TeVe and MundoFox have announced details of their network distribution efforts for the Miami affiliate of the new U.S. Spanish-language network starting August 1st, 2012.

When América TeVe signed up to be MundoFox’s Miami affiliate, they decided not to eliminate their branded channel and moved it to another slot on the dial to give room for the new network.

América TeVe will continue to deliver news programming under its “América Noticias” brand simulcast on MundoFox at 5pm and 10pm and its entertainment programming to the South Florida community on their own channel, while sister station MundoFox will try to challenge Univision and Telemundo, featuring “teleseries,” a format mastered by their programming partner, Colombia’s RCN.

Starting on August 1st,  América TeVe will continue delivering it’s outstanding programming on:

  • Comcast Channel 12, Dade County
  • Comcast Channel 15, Broward County
  • Atlantic Broadband, Channel 17
  • AT&T U-verse, Channel 41
  • DIRECTV, Channel 41
  • Over the air Channel 48.1/41.2

Starting August 1st, MundoFox “Choice and Innovation” will transmit as follows:

  • Comcast, Channel 82
  • Atlantic Broadband, Channel 3
  • Over the air, Channel 41.1/48.2
