Univision Radio relaunches NY station

Univision Radio has launched the new WQBU FM, Mami 92.7 FM as a tropical hits radio station in the New York tri-state  area. It previously broadcast Regional Mexican music as “La Que Buena 92.7 FM.”

Mami 92.7 FM will feature two iconic NY radio personalities, who have long been part of the Univision Radio family – Alipio “Coco” Cabrera and Federico Martínez, also known as “El Pachá.”  The DJs will begin their daily shows on Monday, December 3.

Coco, who has been with Univision Radio more than 19 years, will be on Mami 92.7 FM from 12 to 3pm and also on WADO 1280 AM from 4:30 to 6 pm. “El Pachá,” a Univision Radio employee for about 9 years, will be on Mami from 3 to 7 pm and on WADO from 7 to 10 am.

Listeners will also be able to tune in online at Mami927.com as well as stream Mami via the Univision Radio mobile app.

For those who miss the Regional Mexican format previously heard on 92.7 FM “La Que Buena,” it will now be available on the Univision Radio app, as well as LaQueBuenaNewYork.com
