Don joined ABC7 in 1972 as a general assignment reporter.  During his 40 years at KGO, he held several roles, including weekday co-anchor of the ABC7 Morning News, the 5 pm newscast with Cheryl Jennings for 7 years and co-anchored both the early morning news and the weekend news for over two years. He was also co-host of “Good Morning Bay Area,” the station’s daily talk-variety morning program.

When he retired last week, he did so as the arts and entertainment reporter for ABC7 News.

In 2000, Don was inducted into the TV Academy’s Silver Circle for recognition of over 25 years on the air in the San Francisco Bay Area market.

Don started his television career in KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo.  He has only worked at 2 stations during his 49 years in the business.
