Telemundo KSTS-48 has signed a partnership deal that makes it the official Spanish television partner of the 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

As part of the new partnership, Telemundo 48 will produce a half hour local sports show dedicated to covering the Giants franchise.

Giants Spanish-language announcer Erwin Higueros and Telemundo’s sports anchor Juan Francisco Ramírez will host the show, which will highlight the team, players and performance of the SF Giants throughout the season.

KSTS 48 and the SF Giants will also work together to produce “Fiesta Gigantes,” a celebration to honor the Hispanic heritage of the franchise and the city of San Francisco.

The first game of the 2013 MLB season is set for April 1, with the home opener on April 5.
