Kimball named Programming VP; Roedenbeck contributor for Fusion

Billy Kimball

Billy Kimball has been named Sr VP and Chief Programming Officer for Fusion.   Kimball has more than 25 years experience as a writer, producer and executive in television, radio, film, publishing and online media.

He has produced or executive produced more than 400 hours of television, including Comedy Central’s “Indecision ’92” and 9 annual “Independent Spirit Awards” shows.  He launched “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” in 1999 for David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants company.  From 2004 to 2007, he was the executive producer of “The Al Franken Show” on Air America Radio and Sundance Channel.

He has also written 8 episodes of “The Simpsons” and co-wrote the influential documentary “Waiting for Superman.”

Elise Roedenbeck

Also announced today, Elise Roedenbeck is joining Fusion as an on-air contributor for all of its programs and platforms.  She has been the New York bureau chief for news and satire site Pocho.com, and she created its popular MiJA Weekly series.

She’s also a stand-up comedian who studied sketch comedy writing with the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Both Kimball and Roedenbeck will be based in Miami.
