CCNMA honors 4 journalists for lifetime achievement

 

Teresa Quevedo

CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California will honor four veteran journalists at its 33rd Scholarship Banquet:  Teresa Quevedo, Roberto Lopez, Norberto Santana Jr and Luis Torres.

Teresa Quevedo is currently a news anchor/reporter at KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles.  An Emmy-award winner with over 24 years in the television business, she has been working at KMEX since 1997.

She was previously an anchor at KVEA-52.

Robert Lopez is an investigative and multimedia journalist at the Los Angeles Times, where he has been working for the past 21 years.

Robert is a member of team that won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Public service.

Norberto Santana Jr., is an award-winning investigative reporter with 20 years of experience at major daily newspapers, including the Orange County Register and San Diego Union Tribune. 

In 2009, he co-founded Voice of OC as a non-profit investigative newsroom.

All journalists will receive the awards during a ceremony this Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
