Univision beats all major nets in ratings

Univision logo 2012For the third consecutive week and July sweep to date, Univision  is #1, leading the pack of broadcast and cable networks among adults 18-34 and 18-49, according to Nielsen.  Additionally, during the he week of July 8 to July 14, 2013 Univision had 9 of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 and 8 among Adults 18-49.

During that week, Univision ranked

  •  as the #1 broadcast network on Monday, Thursday and Friday nights among Adults 18-34 , with its entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs.  It came in as the #2 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

“Sabado Gigante” still pulls in big numbers, averaging 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 789,000 Adults 18-49, and 289,000 Adults 18-34..  It made Univision the #3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and NBC in each demographic.

On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, thanks to “Parodiando,” which averaged 2.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 506,000 Adults 18-34 and  “Sal y Pimienta” with an average of 2.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 913,000 Adults 18-49, and 295,000 Adults 18-34.

Novela power is still going strong for the network during weeknights, making Univision #1 in their respective timeslots:

  • At 8 p.m. “Porque El Amor Manda” made Univision #1 for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  The novela saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.2 Million, +13%), Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million, +13%), and Adults 18-34 (1.1 Million, +13%).
  • At 9 p.m.  “Amores Verdaderos”  made Univision #1 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  “Amores Verdaderos” saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.8 Million, +15%), Adults 18-49 (2.5 Million, +15%), and Adults 18-34 (1.2 Million, +18%).
  • At 10 p.m. “Que Bonito Amor” made Univision #1 for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49.   The novela saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 Million, +15%), Adults 18-49 (1.8 Million, +12%), and Adults 18-34 (884,000, +21%).
