Univision announced a change and a new hire in its research and analytics team. Dan Murphy has been named SVP, Audience Measurement and Analytics and Kevin King is joining the company as SVP of Digital Research.

In his new role, Murphy, who was most recently SVP of Interactive Research and Analytics, will work closely with Ceril Shagrin, Univision’s EVP of Audience Measurement and Analytics, in managing third party industry relationships and experiments for the company.

Murphy has been with Univision since 2000, stewarding Univision’s MRC Audit of Ads and Server-side traffic counts. Prior to Univision, he was VP of Internet Strategy for Yupi Internet.  Before that, he was Director of Research for Media Metrix and Director of Development for CBS Sports.

King has been hired to help lead the company’s ongoing efforts to provide digital programming and content for Univision’s audience.  Through the use of Univision’s proprietary traffic analytics tools and other research methods, King and his team will provide insights on ratings trends along with projections that will help inform business decisions.

King was most recently  VP of Digital Research at A&E Networks.  He previously worked for Viacom Media (formerly MTV Networks) in various research roles and at ABC Television and CBS Broadcasting.
