Briceño promoted at beIN Sport

Antonio Briceño has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director for North America at beIN Sport.  He’ll report to the network’s managing director, Yousef Al-Obaidly.

In his new role, Briceño will be responsible for managing operations, production, marketing, sales and distribution for beIN Sport and beIN Sport en Español. He will also oversee beIN SPORT PLAY, an authenticated-streaming service.

Briceño was instrumental for the U.S. launch of beIN SPORT on  Aug. 15, 2012, and responsible for building its Miami-based team.

Prior to beIN SPORT, he was the VP of programming and distribution for Imagina US, the American production and distribution partner of beIN SPORT.

Originally from Venezuela,  he launched his television career 20 years ago as producer for Radio Caracas TV. Since then, he has held key management positions including Director of Programming at Pan-American Sports Network, Director of Programming and sales at Digital Latin America. and Creative Services Director at Movie City.
