Univision’s Teletón reaches 12 million viewers

The 29 hour telethon on Univision this past weekend reached 12 million viewers and raised over $15 million dollars.

“TeletónUSA” 2013, hosted by founder Mario Kreutzberger, also known as Don Francisco and other Univision personalities, is in its second year.  The event, that aims to raise funds for children with disabilities, aired between Friday, December 13 and Sunday, December 15. It featured performances and appearances by over 100 Hispanic celebrities, including Carlos Vives, Daniela Romo, Lucero, Pepe Aguilar and Thalia, among others.

The program was broadcast from the Univision Network studios in Miami, with live feeds from Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Antonio, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. It also aired live on Galavisión, Univision America radio network and streamed live on Univision.comUVideos.com and theUVideos mobile app.

Almost 12 million Total Viewers 2+ tuned in to all or part of the 29-hour broadcast.
