Univision’s “Primer Impacto” celebrates 20 years

Univision News’ award-winning newsmagazine “Primer Impacto” is celebrating its 20th anniversary this weekend with a special primetime edition that takes a look back at the most memorable stories in the history of the show.

“Más Allá del Impacto” will air on the Univision this Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).

The show was initially called “Noticias y Más,” hosted by Raúl Peimbert and Jackie Nespral, for 2 years before the network  rebranded and relaunched it as “Primer Impacto” in 1994.

“Primer Impacto’s” current anchors, Barbara Bermudo and Pamela Silva Conde, will be joined by ex “Primer Impacto” hosts Ilia Calderón and Satcha Pretto, as well as by former reporters and correspondents to share their insights on the stories.

Several of the show’s hosts are no longer with Univision.  María Celeste Arrarás and Myrka Dellanos, the rebranded show’s first co-hosts have moved on.  María Celeste is the host of Telemundo’s “Al Rojo Vivo” and “Noticiero Telemundo,” while Myrka anchors Noticiero Estrella TV.”

Other high-profile talent of the show:  Fernando del Rincón, now with CNN en Español and Carmen Dominicci, now with Telemundo.

“Primer Impacto” airs live Monday through Friday at 5:00 p.m. ET.
