Former Telemundo and Univision morning show host Alfonso “Poncho” de Anda has landed another AM gig. Starting February 10, he’ll be hosting “Venga la alegría,” a morning show on TV Azteca in Mexico.
The show will air in the U.S. on Azteca América, Monday-Friday at 12 pm (it airs at 9 am in Mexico).
Poncho started his broadcast career in his native Mexico in 1996, first in radio and shortly after, as a TV show host for TV Azteca. He moved to the U.S. in 2001.
He’s best known to U.S. audiences as co-host of Univision’s morning show “Despierta América” and Telemundo’s “Cada Dia.” He also co-hosted shows at Miami’s Mega TV.
Most recently, he was the host of MundoFox’s “El Factor X.”
