Hernández is the all-time leading goal scorer for the Mexican National team in World Cup competition and the fourth-ranked goal scorer for El Tri.
During his 14-year career he played for a number of clubs, including Cruz Azul, Querétaro, Monterey, Club América, UANL Tigres, CD Veracruz, Necaxa, Boca Juniors in Argentina and Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy.
