Hoy newspaper to launch Noticias MundoFox 13 in Chicago

Tribune-owned Hoy newspaper in Chicago, announced today it will launch a television newscast for MundoFox on local affiliate WOCK-TV.

“Hoy Noticias MundoFox 13” will be a Spanish-language daily newscast in partnership with MundoFox. The first newscast will air on April 18.

The newscast will be produced in Chicago by the recently-formed Hoy broadcasting team.  It will air on MundoFox 13 every Monday through Friday from 9-9:30pm (CDT).

Nicole Suarez, anchor for Hoy Noticias MundoFox 13, co-hosted the national news from the Hoy newsroom in Chicago alongside Rolando Nichols, anchor for Noticias MundoFox Network.

Nicole Suarez will anchor “Hoy Noticias MundoFox 13.” A former beauty pageant contestant in Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina,” Nicole has done some hosting and producing work for Univision Chicago.

“Hoy Noticias MundoFox 13” will focus on selectively-curated stories. The show’s tagline is “El poder de la información” – the power of information.

Hoy’s Managing Editor, Fernando Díaz ecently-appointed Executive Producer of Video Content, Andrés Lombana will lead the broadcasting division.
