ESPN Deportes wins Emmys

ESPN Deportes won two Sports Emmy Awards at the 35th National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences last night in New York.

ESPN Deportes picked up two awards in the first year of Spanish-language categories. The Spanish-language sports net was recognized in the Best Studio Show category for its shows  “SportsCenter” and Nación.

José Ramón Fernandez was nominated in the first-ever On-Air Sports Personality in Spanish category, but lost to Telemundo’s Andrés Cantor.
