Lourdes Ramos said good-bye to her viewers during the late night edition of Univision network’s weekend newscast on Sunday. Her farewell comes just a little over two years since she joined the network.

During her final newscast she said she was leaving due to personal reasons, but that she would continue to collaborate with the network.

A network spokesman confirmed Lourdes will be moving to Madrid to follow her husband and that she will be a “special correspondent” for Univision.

Lourdes, who is the sister of Univision’s weekday anchor Jorge Ramos, has been co-anchoring the weekend edition of the network news alongside Félix de Bedout since late January of 2012.

Definitely sad to see Lourdes go. She did a great job along side Felix. I wish her the best of luck in her career moving forward.
