Univision has announced it has made two changes in its entertainment executive ranks.

The company has named Carlos Bardasano VP of Original Content and Andrés Mendoza VP of Programming & Strategy for UniMás.

Bardasano will lead alternative content and productions for the Univision’s entertainment arm, as well as oversee all original content production from main content providers such as Televisa, Venevision, Caracol, RTI and Sony.

Until this new appointment, Bardasano was VP of Programming and Original Production for UniMás, overseeing all programming, production and strategy for that network.

He has previously held the position of  VP of Programming Development of Univision Television Networks and has also worked for Telemundo as EVP of Entertainment and VP of Programming at Telemundo.

Mendoza was appointed VP of Programming & Strategy for UniMás. He will oversee all programming, production and strategy for the former Telefutura network.

Prior to this role, Mendoza was director of Programming Planning and Strategy for the Univision Networks where he assisted the president of Programming and Content in the design and implementation of innovative and competitive tactics to increase the company’s audiences. He also led teams that developed new content for existing Univision shows, as well as new and alternative programming for UniMás.

Mendoza joined Univision in 2012 working as a Senior Analyst and Business Operations manager of Noticias Univision. He was part of the team that launched Fusion, the English-language cable network joint venture with Disney/ABC News.
