Fusion launches on Apple TV, adds four to its news team

Fusion today announced it has launched on Apple TV, offering access to on-demand content, regular news updates, and original programming.

Available content includes video highlights from Fusion’s daily and weekly topical programs such as “Alicia Menéndez Tonight,” “AMÉRICA with Jorge Ramos,” and “Fusion Live.”

Full episodes of Fusion original series, documentaries and specials will also be available 24/7.

In addition to the launch, Fusion has tapped two NBC News staffers to join its news team.

Hillary Frey, Editorial Director of News for NBCNews.com will start a new job as Fusion’s as Director of Global News Operations on December 15. She was previously Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo News.

Former NBC News Senior Editor Danielle Friedman has already begun as Senior Editor at the network, brought in to oversee coverage of health, sex and relationships.

Comedian Akilah Hughes will be covering entertainment and make videos for the network’s culture team and documentary filmmaker Orlando de Guzman is joining Fusion’s breaking news video team as a shooter and producer.
