Reporter Érika Maldonado has been promoted to prime time anchor at WGBO-66, the Univision O&O in Chicago.
She’ll be co-anchoring the 5 and 10 pm newscasts Monday through Friday alongside Jorge Barbosa.
Érika replaces Angélica Atondo, who left the station in October of 2014. She has been doing fill-in anchor duties for the past few months.
A 5-time Emmy award-winner, Érika has been a reporter at WGBO for the past 10 years. She began her broadcast career in radio news in her native Venezuela.
