Azteca América taps new managers for local sales

Azteca América has promoted Simón Maldonado and has hired Oscar Duarte and Elizabeth Alemán-Longoria as Local Sales Managers for several of its affiliate stations.

Maldonado, who’ll be based in Dallas, will report to Susan Kretschmar, VP and GM of KAZD. He joined Azteca América in August 2014 as a Senior Account Executive.

He was previously a founding member and President and CEO of Cheers Media Inc. since 2010. Before that, Maldonado spent 16 years as an Account Executive and General Sales Manager, and VP and GM with Amigo and Tejas Broadcasting.

Elizabeth Alemán-Longoria

Duarte takes over as LSM at KAZA in Los Angeles. He’ll report to Jose Luis Padilla, VP and GM for KAZA and Regional VP of West Coast Managed Stations.

Duarte was most recently General Sales Manager/Director of Sales at KXOS Radio Centro. He was previously a Senior Account Executive for KWHY-22.

Alemán-Longoria joins the Azteca station in San Antonio. She’ll report to Noé de la Garza, VP and GM for KVDF. She most recently worked for Alpha Media “La Ley” radio.
