Any hopes Rodner Figueroa had to get reinstated as host and fashion commentator at Univision were quashed today.
Three weeks after Rodner was fired for saying on live television that First Lady Michelle Obama looked like a cast member from the “Planet of the Apes,” the network today announced Carlos Calderón and Jomari Goyso will replace him as the new hosts of the Sunday night entertainment gossip show “Sal y Pimienta.”
Rodner had co-hosted the show with Lourdes Stephen since its launch in September of 2010.
Carlos and Jomari take over the new role this Sunday, April 5. They’ll be joining Lourdes, who continues as co-host of the show.
Both men are already part of the Univision family. Carlos is a co-host of “El Gordo y la Flaca.” Jomari, the network’s image consultant, is a judge on “Nuestra Belleza Latina” and hosts a weekly segment called “A la Moda con Jomari” for “Primer Impacto.”
