TuYo digital network set to debut in July

TuYo, a bilingual digital entertainment network targeting Hispanic audiences will be launching in July.

The IPTV network, owned and developed by Hispanic entertainment executives, will offer curated original and acquired multicultural entertainment content with free model, a-la-carte and subscription tiers.

The Los Angeles-based venture is founded by Pete Salgado, Jenni Rivera’s former manager.

Salgado, the network’s CEO is lining up content deals with companies such as Sofia Vergara’s Latin World Entertainment, World of Wonder, VIP 2000, Dhana Media, Great Glass Productions and celebrity partners such as actress Adriana Barraza and singer Don Omar.

The company has been technologically operational since the end of December.

The TuYo executive team consists of mun2 alum Mari Urdaneta as VP of Programming and Creative; IM Records alum Javier Morales as VP of Acquisitions and licensing; and Enrique Calderón as Director of Production.

The TuYo service will be distributed via AppleTV, Roku, Google Chrome and Fire Fly TV, and an app will be available for Apple and Android devices.
