Telemundo has promoted two of its executives in its programming unit. Glenda Pacanins is now SVP, Programming & Content and Leonor Sotillo is SVP, Programming Strategy.  Both women will continue to report to Jesús Torres Viera, EVP, Programming and Content.

Pacanins steps into a newly created role, where she’ll continue to be responsible for program content. She’ll develop, communicate and execute the network’s overall programming and content strategy and collaborate on scripted and non-scripted content, working closely with key network teams to drive growth.

Pacanins, who joined Telemundo as Director of Entertainment Strategy in 2007, was most recently VP, Programming Strategy Integration. She previously spent 10 years at Univision, where she worked in a variety of roles ranging from segment producer to program development to marketing communications.

Sotillo, previously VP, Programming and Strategy, also moves into a newly created role. She’ll be responsible for strategic analysis of programming development and planning, as well as ideation and execution of tactical programming strategies.

A former telenovela producer and Programming Director at Venezuela’s Radio Caracas Television (RCTV), she joined Telemundo in 2005 as Director of Novela Programming.
