Llanos named L.A. mayor’s press secretary

Former Los Angeles Daily News reporter Connie Llanos has been hired as mayor Eric Garcetti’s new press secretary. She starts the new job on July 22.

Connie is currently the Communications Director and Strategic Advisor for City Council member Curren Price, Jr.

Since leaving the Daily News in 2011, where she spent 5 years, Connie has been working in the political arena.

She has been an advisor on political campaigns and has worked as Communications Director for the City of Los Angeles and for Councilman Felipe Fuentes.
