Univision hires Bond as SVP, Production Strategy

Derek BondFormer Telemundo executive Derek Bond is now working for Univision Communications. The company named him Senior Vice President, Production Strategy, effective immediately.

Bond will be based in Miami and report to David Rabinowitz, EVP of Broadcast Operations and Technology. He’ll be responsible for the overall production operations across all Univision networks.

Bond was most recently the CEO of Imagina Content at Imagina US, where he oversaw the development for all of the organization’s content since November of 2014.

He was previously President of his own company, Bond Entertainment, where he worked with Colombia’s Producciones RTI and was Executive in Charge of Production for Televisa and UniMás’ “La Viuda Negra.”

He previously spent 10 years in different executive positions within Telemundo Studios, his last role being Sr Executive Vice President of Studios, Production & Broadcast Operations overseeing all productions for the U.S. and Latin America.
