Univision wins 6, Telemundo 2 Emmys in Chicago

Univision’s WGBO in Chicago picked up six Emmys this past weekend – two of the awards were related to the production of the series detailing anchor Edna Schmidt’s battle with alcoholism, which aired in November of 2014.

Rival Telemundo WSNS also won in two categories, during the 57th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards Ceremony, which took place on Saturday, November 7.

Univision’s WGBO news team celebrates 6 wins.
