ESPN relaunches Spanish-Language websites

ESPN has relaunched its Spanish-language websites in the U.S. and Latin America. ESPNdeportes.com now features a mobile-first redesign aimed at enhancing local, regional and global sports news content.

Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela will have dedicated local ESPN sites, which are powered by ESPN editorial and content teams in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Miami, Los Angeles and Bristol headquarters.

According to ESPN, the sites have been re-engineered to be faster and are built on the same technology infrastructure and design elements as the new ESPN.com that debuted in April of this year.

The new sites automatically adjust to any screen, set to optimize content on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices.

The relaunch of these sites is part of ESPN’s efforts to develop a global digital platform that will power local editions of its digital properties – including the ESPN website and app in multiple languages.
