Univision promotes Salgado to Director of Integration

December 14, 2015 by Veronica Villafañe

Silvia SalgadoSilvia Salgado has a new job title at Univision. She is now Director of Integration. Her promotion comes 3 years after she was named Senior Producer of Social Media for “Primer Impacto.”

In her new role, she’ll report to Borja Echevarría, VP and Editor in Chief of Univision Digital, and Patsy Loris, SVP of News.

Silvia will work in the assignment desk to leverage content for all platforms.

In an email to staff announcing her promotion,  EVP and Executive Director of News Daniel Coronell wrote:

“Thanks to her efforts, Primer Impacto’s social accounts are a reference point for all Univision. This is why we are now recognizing Silvia’s efforts with a significant promotion and at the same time taking advantage of her knowledge to replicate PI’s success in other properties. But above all, we hope Silvia will help us identify integration opportunities in our television and digital platforms.”

Silvia has held several jobs within Univision for the past 15 years. She started as Assignment Editor at Univision Chicago in 2000, before taking on the same role at the network level in Miami 5 years later.

She changed roles in 2007, becoming an entertainment producer for “Primer Impacto,” later spending two years on the assignment desk, before taking her most recent social media role with the show.
