Linda Hurtado is joining WTVT Fox 13 in Tampa. The station has hired her to anchor the noon and 5 pm newscasts.
She starts the job tomorrow, filling the seat left open when anchor Denise White retired in November.
Fox 13 also promoted Alcides Segui to weekend morning co-anchor. He’ll continue reporting weekday mornings for “Good Day Tampa Bay.”
Linda had previously worked 20 years at Tampa’s WFTS. A cancer survivor, she left that station earlier this year to spend time with her family.
Alcides has been with the station since 2008. He previously worked as an anchor/reporter for WWSB in Sarasota and WAAY in Huntsville, Ala.
