Telemundo Puerto Rico names Robaina new weather anchor

Elizabeth RobainaElizabeth Robaina is leaving Texas. She’ll be joining WKAQ Telemundo Puerto Rico as its new weather anchor for the Telenoticias Fin De Semana weekend newscasts at 5 and 10 pm. The station made the announcement today.

She starts January 19, but will debut on-air at the end of the month.

Elizabeth returns to Puerto Rico after spending a little more than a year at KTLM Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley, where she has been working since 2014. She previously did a brief stint as a weather anchor for WAPA-TV.

Before that, she worked as a weather anchor at Univision and Fox 39 in Laredo. The Cuban-born journalist is also a former contestant of Univision’s beauty pageant “Nuestra Belleza Latina.”
