No word yet on what she’ll be doing after taking some time off.
In a Facebook post, she shared: “I’ve decided to indefinitely step down from the world of TV News. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made and working in this industry has been an INCREDIBLE journey. But growing up the past few years has made me realize how important some things are to me: including the ability to be with my friends and family when I need to most and not miss out on life’s most precious moments. I’m not saying ‘no’ forever :)- but right now it’s time for a change/reset button and I fully believe God will lead me to my path.”
Amanda did her final on-air sign-off on Sunday, March 27.
Prior to joining KXAS, Amanda worked as a reporter for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma.
