In this newly created position, Ruiz will oversee all communications for Business Insider Inc., publisher of Business Insider, Tech Insider, and seven international editions of Business Insider.
Ruiz was previously head of communications communications for The Huffington Post from 2007 to 2012, helping drive growth and transformation from a niche politics site to widely recognized international media brand.
After leaving HuffPost, he founded MRPR, his own public relations agency. He folded his company into communications agency DKC, where he served as SVP, and worked with media and tech companies including The Huffington Post, Business Insider, Medium, Bloomberg, The New Republic, Complex Media, Zynga, Venmo, NowThis News, NimbleTV, Foursquare and Vocativ.
